A technique older than the beauty industry
Long before anyone put caffeine in a jar and promised firmer skin in fourteen days, therapists in South America were working the body with ridged wooden rollers. They called it maderoterapia — wood therapy. Firm, repetitive, always upward, always towards the heart.
It was never glamorous. It was mechanical, and it was patient. And it worked because it did something creams cannot: it moved the tissue rather than sitting on top of it.
